I can’t tell a joke.
I can sometimes be witty
but it’s a surprise.
I would love it if
my funny bone showed up
and helped me out.
I am so jealous
of those who make people laugh.
What a gift they give.

Not everyone needs to be a comedien[ne] and you make people smile with your beautiful poetry. As for me, I don't tell jokes well, but I have a dry wit (almost borders on sarcasm!) and often people laugh (with me or at me -- not sure!)
Peace,
Muff
Your gift is your poetry Judy, and that's very special.
Cheers
I do make people laugh and that makes me happy, but I can NOT tell a joke worth a darn! Karen is right, your gift is your poetry, don't be greedy. hahahahaha

I still would like to be able to tell a joke, but I'll settle for being a poet. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to bend your ear doing that. I'll pass up on the Comedy Club for now. :)

I used to laugh and joke a lot. Life is just not as funny as it once was. I mourn the fact that I have lost humor. My jokes are more sarcastic now, coping mechanism I think. Most people do not find them funny and maybe border line auto-phobic.
