“A poem is the very image of life expressed in its eternal truth.”
Percy Bysshe Shelley

About My Poems

Haiku-style poems in triptych allow me to distill the Multiple Sclerosis experience into very few words. While these often nontraditional haikus have journal-like qualities, they are not my daily journal. They merely represent what I or someone I know will have experienced on the MS journey.

My poems will span
the emotional spectrum.
That is what I live.

A smile may lift me
past my MS challenges.
I share that with you.

Sometimes sadness trumps
easy laughter and resolve.
I will write then too.

Change My Blog's Look?

I keep meaning to
make changes to my blog’s look.
Then I do nothing.

Maybe I lack time.
More likely I am afraid
to mess with Blogger.

It’s a lot of work.
Ideas too are lacking.
So I just hold off.

I like your blog the way it is, but if you feel it's time for a change, go for it! It's pretty easy to change your background and fonts. Just don't go DYNAMIC view Judy!!!

Un cambio siempre es una avance...en lo bueno o en lo malo. Hazlo.

Nothing wrong with change but I rather like your blog the way it is. I always associate this beautiful blue with you and your wonderful poems! Best, Christie

I think your blog evokes peaceful feelings. I still haven't changed mine after I said I would in December. There I am, Miss Dilly Dally, again.
Peace,
Muff

I like some to stay the same and I like to add gadgets to mine like the fish tank :) Still a change can be nice. I do little changes, I guess.mary

Hi Judy, I'm a new visitor having jumped over from Sherri's blog. First off, I think your blog is beautiful, I love the colors and the way each post's photos stand out. But I understand needing change. For me it takes a while to work up to and when (if) that moment arrives it's the perfect one. But, you are right, blogger is a trickster sometimes.

I have just read through months of your Haiku's. They are all so beautiful, thoughtful, poignant. How do you do that? I love how you get so much feeling and substance into a few short lines. Very powerful.

So glad I jumped over.

Karen, Christie, Muff, and Mary,

The overwhelming majority like my current look. What I am likely to do is make modest changes. In particular, I want to change the heading, maybe find a new photo. But it will probably take me a long time to get around to it. :-)

José Antonio, cambio resultando en avance … lindo concepto.

Ms. Devi, welcome to my blog. You blew me away by reading months of my poems. Thank you for that. The poems have become for me a way to sharpen my thinking. It is like a puzzle I have to solve: how to figure out the essence of a thought, how to describe it in the most efficient and moving manner. It’s a very satisfying activity which may just have the result of helping me grow a few more healthy brain cells.

To all of you, thanks for responding. You helped ease my concern that people were getting tired of the same look. You have reassured me that is not the case.

I understand. I change my blog every now and then. LOL.

I have a different perspective. I say do what you want. You only live once.

In the case of a blog, you can back it up. Can't say that about all of life's adventures. No backup plan there. =)

Sherry, I'm going to leave well enough alone for now. Gives me a headache just thinking about it.
