You get spun around.
Then try remaining upright.
That is the challenge.
The horizon tilts.
You search for a fixed bearing.
It cannot be found.
Hoping for safety,
you smile through the upheaval
to stave off the tears.
Then try remaining upright.
That is the challenge.
The horizon tilts.
You search for a fixed bearing.
It cannot be found.
Hoping for safety,
you smile through the upheaval
to stave off the tears.

Spin around? I can barely turn my head without getting dizzy and losing my balance! But I understand this type of emotional and mental spinning -- our equilibrium vanishes!
Peace,
Muff
Hi Judy-
I know the spin and fear of which you so eloquently express through your poem.
Love to you
Gail

Uggg, the dizzies! I don't smile much when I get those.

Muff, Gail, and Karen,
A fragile balance is one of my worst symptoms. A feather's touch could send me flying. I know there is a difference between vertigo and dizziness but I frankly don't know what it is. It just feels like spin to me.
Olivia, welcome to my blog. It sounds like you'd better get that shower bar soon. Falls are not a good thing. I have four bars in my shower, one by my commode, and the rest of the house's walls and furniture to keep me upright. Sigh.
dizzy is new for me... that lightheaded dizzy business...ugh... i dont like it one little bit!
