MS will call on
all the strength and character
one has to offer.
Uncommon courage,
sheer grit and tenacity,
it takes that and more.
If only resolve
would on its own make things right,
we would all be well.

So very true, my resolve is what keeps me keeping on!
I thought you said "sheep grits" LMAO... I kept seeing it over and over again, "sheep grits" and I was confused...what's she talking about - I'm from the south - I'm a grits girl but nooooo, we don't have "sheep grits" and LMAO you didn't write that.
MS is about sheep grits as well, I see. LOL.
I do believe we are all courageous in that we struggle daily, but continue to go on. The last stanza says it all -- if only the fact that we stand[?] strong could cure us, we'd all be free!
Peace,
Muff
That we would.
exactly. My family gives me grief for changing plans, but this disease changes them for me. If I didn't have sheep grits ;-) I'd just lie down and give up. Instead I nap, and get up!
Mary, Sherry, Muff, Karen, and Dabble,
I think we have coined a new phrase that is our very own secret joke about the suckiness of this disease -- sheep grits. I laughed so hard my husband heard me on the other side of the house. Yeah, resolve. If it weren't for that, I'd get nowhere. Then, on the other hand, how far have I gone?
How far have you gone? From my point of view, the question is How much have your words helped me? Answer is in more ways then you may know. With your words I see hope and understanding, that the light at the end of the tunnel is not getting dimmer. At times your words say what I'm feeling that I couldn't find the words for. Your willingness to share makes it easier to see that no one is really all alone, and that helps a great deal.
Wow, Mary, your words are very moving and I'm so honored by your words. Thank you.
