When the Diagnosis Is a Mystery

Symptoms and complaints
in vivid variety
defy labeling.

Is it MS? No?
Then what the heck is causing
so much misery?

Damned if you do and
damned if you don’t since
MS is no gift.

It is always a mystery...is it MS or something else??

Since there is no definitive test to determine MS, it remains a mystery. Only at the time of autopsy can they say for sure...yep...MS, so I guess we won't ever know if it was the culprit!

There was actually a time when I kept thinking the MS diagnosis would prove to be a mistake (despite the fact that I had so many glaring symptoms!) I honestly began to believe that I'd get a call saying it was something else, and curable! What a goose I was...

Kim, Karen, and Muff,

For the longest time, I kept insisting I had something else ... until the outward evidence kind of made a strong case for MS. I say it grudingly, but I say it. I have MS. I don't know what difference that makes, but I said it.
