A New Start Beckons

It has been a while.
Life wrenched in odd twists and turns
testing my mettle.

Wisdom still slips past
full comprehension and grasp.
Life can just be hard.

Small mercies cast hope
lighting paths out of despair
while I seek healing.

My head slowly lifts.
The moon sets. The sun rises.
A new start beckons.

My wounds slowly heal.
Full restoration falls short,
but I keep hoping.

Treasured companions
sharing my winding pathways
buoy my spirits.

It is so heartwarming for me to return and be greeted by such moving messages. I have missed all of you and the dialogue we had around my poems. I wish I could say that I am returning to daily postings but, alas, I still am not up to that. That remains, however, a goal for me. The practice of writing and posting poems again will be a healing step for me, not only for the trials already endured, but also for those ongoing and to come. I am not being coy in holding back the details of my current challenges. It is just too difficult. It is only through my poetry that I can permit my inner self to fly again, and I hope that avenue opens up for me again soon.

Heidi, I have missed you too.
Karen, thank you for your good wishes.
Sherri, I hope peace and silver linings for all of us.
Mary, cosmic waves, indeed.
Josè Antonio, el regalo es mutuo.
Muff, thank you for your prayers!
Gail, I wish you all the best on your new adventure.

A wonderful, poetic, right-on-the-money reminder for me. For all of us.

Well said, as always!
