A Reluctant Truth?

What ingredient
self rising and insistent
explains dogged hope?

What twist of life’s plan,
what warped strain of providence,
grants undeserved loss?

The error may be
thinking goodness in practice
results in its like.

HI JUDY - deep reflection here. I have found that when I do good the good that comes back is often delayed and often too from a source I never expected. That's not t say the kind act itself is not gratifying, it is....I am just often surprised by responses, in a good way way - definitely.
Love Gail
peace....

So, thinking makes it so? That twisting and granting of which you write always gnaws at me, and just I wish I could have that "hope." Alas, I'm usually fresh out of that virtue!

Muff

Big issues so, yeah, deep reflection. I'm just lucky that you guys humor me by reading my stuff.

Muff, as you will see by tomorrow's poem, sometimes holding on to that hope is quite difficult.

Robert, I'm going to be a troublemaker here and raise the flag for the belief that the Universe has no order (and therefore no karmic-like response) that is intelligible to those of us with human understanding.

I thought I commented on this Judy. Maybe I didn't Captcha correctly :(

Anyway...another great food for thought poem.

Karen, thanks for making the attempt twice. And, yes, food for thought; including, for me.
