Finding Balance

http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Balance_scales_in_art#mediaviewer/File:Hinterglasbild_Konfessionsstreit_18_Jh.jpg

When does misfortune
become crutch or excuse for
low expectations?

How does one balance
a stark assessment of loss
with inspiring hope?

Where does it begin ̶
one's responsibility
for life's wellbeing?

Hi Judy - I think it begins each day as I open my eyes and face the challenges and blessings before me.
Love Gail
peace.....

Your title made me snicker! Balance?
I find that I often use MS as an excuse, but then I don't like feeling that I've copped out. So, I like trying something, and if I can't do it because of the disability, I let it go.

Gail, yes, it's a moment by moment thing, every day, on and on.

Muff, I'm glad I made you snicker. I must admit, regardless of circumstance, I always keep asking, what can I do to make things better? Perhaps, it's the uber responsible character trait in me, and it may actually be more appropriate on occassion to let some things go.
