Idyll

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narcissus_(plant)#/media/File:Kuekenhoff_006.jpg

On dewy Spring morns,
narcissus petals unfold
gossamer beauty.

Within the arbor,
interwoven tree branches
shelter loveliness.

Fed by reflections
on the winding water course,
fantasy takes flight.

What beautiful images your words evoke! Is that a stock photo or one of your surroundings? Either way, the words and picture make me feel very peaceful.

Spring is not so lovely here. Everything is brown, heavy rain, salt and sludge on the streets from being buried under snow for months. Your poem is beautiful, an idealistic spring.

Muff, I'm so glad the poem brought you peace. The photo is from Wikipedia, which I use almost exclusively for my images to avoid copyright issues. Clicking on the photo brings up its originating website.

Karen, yes, it is an idealistic spring. Let's hope you get one soon.
