“A poem is the very image of life expressed in its eternal truth.”

It Happened at the Mall

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/images/results.aspx?qu=helping%20hands&queryid=26e290a7%2Dd3cd%2D44b9%2D917e%2D7a52db8598ef#ai:MC900070852|

A clerk ran to get
the busy floor manager
so I could stay put.

A customer said,
my wife has bad knees as well.
Let me help you please.

Another mentioned
his many back surgeries
yet opened my door.

The smiling bagger
foretold one day I'd walk free.
He was sure of it.

They opened my heart
as I accepted kindness
I had not asked for.

None knew what ailed me,
only that I needed help
they gave joyfully.

Expressing Gratitude

http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Footpath,_near_Lavington_Sands,_Wiltshire_-_geograph.org.uk_-_452152.jpg

I have been lucky.
Others smoothed the thorny trail
of my MS path.

I could have floundered
more than I already was.
They steadied my course.

I am quite grateful
help came when I needed it
at key points in life.

Remembering

http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:White_Rose.jpg

With wisdom and joy,
Patrick Leer and George Bokos
blessed my life journey.

On whatever plane
their lives unfold for all time,
may hardship be trounced.

Their unselfish gifts
bestowed on all who knew them
continue to bless.

The Butterfly’s Gift

Graceful and nimble,
the butterfly glides by me
from leaf to blossom.

My unspoken plea,
please come sit on my shoulder,
remains unheeded.

I then feel grateful
for beauty displayed with ease
at no cost to me.

Finding Bravery

Finding bravery,
how to keep it as a goal
when one feels afraid?

The truth of my life,
it falls short of the ideal.
I am not that brave.

For indulging me
in my rambling self pep talks,
I thank my blog peeps.
