The Butterfly’s Gift

Graceful and nimble,
the butterfly glides by me
from leaf to blossom.

My unspoken plea,
please come sit on my shoulder,
remains unheeded.

I then feel grateful
for beauty displayed with ease
at no cost to me.

I love seeing butterflies; unfortunately, we have very few around here anymore.
Peace,
Muff

HI JUDY - At our other home SKipp bought me a beautiful purple butterfly bush. By August there were hundreds dancing in gentle flutter and flight before my eyes> We have a small one here but it doesn't get the sun to grow and attract many butterflies. Still, they are around, lovely and gentle in their glide, colors to take my breath away and calm to soothe my soul.
Love to you always
Gail

Muff, I guess I am really blessed. Living next to a nature preserve, I see butterflies often.

Kim, their beauty is really breathtaking. And so varied!

Karen, as I said above, I am right next to a nature preserve.

Mary, you, too, have a wonderful day!

Gail, I never heard of a purple butterfly bush! It sounds amazing. If planting on common ground were not prohibited in my development, I would plant one.
