I really believe
a winning attitude counts.
I always seek it.
The honest truth is
optimism may elude
my best intentions.
I renew daily
my resolve to keep finding
a foothold in hope.
**** On Life's Journey
Research shows that, “in all cultures, the conviction that one’s predicament is hopeless may cause or hasten disintegration and death.” [Jerome and Julia Frank, Persuasion and Healing] The tools available to me to fight this disease are limited. Could it be that keeping hope alive is the strongest weapon in my arsenal?

Good one Judy! Hope you're well. Best, Christie
HI JUDY - yes a good attitude, out look helps, not a cure all but it helps!! I am starting a new medication for nerve pain and my attitude is horrid - so I am working on uplifting my thoughts. Really hard!! grrrrrrr5.
Love to you
Gail
peace....
Your words provide me with that elusive element -- hope! And I totally concur -- the right attitude is essential for any growth!
Peace,
Muff
Great poem! Have not been keeping up with reading. Best wishes on a full glass! No spills! mary
It makes a difference.
Nice one Judy! I am a glass half full person most of the time.
True...I do my best to keep a foothold in hop
Nothing beats a good positive attitude
If there is anything that marks my approach, it is that I try to blend optimism with realism. Sometimes those attitudes find themselves in opposition. Sometimes, they complement. The bridge between them is often hope. So, as I say in my poem, I resolve to keep a foothold in hope.
Christie, I’m glad you liked the poem.
Gail, it’s an ongoing balancing act, isn’t it?
Muff, I’m glad my words can facilitate your hope.
Mary, thank you for your best wishes. I’m not a fan of spills!
Nicole, attitude makes a difference, indeed.
Karen, I prefer to call you a realist. I often see full-glass beauty in your haikus.
Kim, you and me both try to keep a foothold in hope.
Poetic Soul, a good attitude certainly is a powerful thing.
