What MS Happily Wrought - Finding My Passion

http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Singing_Robin_%2812255436366%29.jpg

Wrest from normalcy,
unchained from the world's demands,
my heart found its voice.

With a new passion
for poetry and fiction,
I let my heart sing.

Transformed happily,
I quench my sorrow at loss,
welcoming new joys.

This is the last of my What MS Wrought series. I end with it because it highlights the most transformative impact of my coming down with MS, finding my writer voice. Though I always enjoyed writing in my professional capacity, I never imagined I would be writing fiction and, certainly not, poetry. Now I can't imagine living without either. With respect to poetry, I find that I express myself at unexpected times in the poetic meter I have chosen, the 5-7-5 haiku meter. I am grateful to you for reading my work because it keeps me motivated to continue composing new poems.

Judy - to express the journey from tragedy to triumph is a gift beyond measure. Lovely sentiments, hallelujah

We're the benefactors of your newly found writing. Although I've only read a little of your fiction work, I enjoyed it thoroughly. And your haiku is just magnificent. I always glean so much from those tightly compacted syllables! Please keep up the excellent creations! They're a blessing to us all!

My comment to you in spanish because I don´t forget anet word.

" La lucha que tenemos contra esta hipocrita y miedosa enfermedad, solo me permite decir que echare de menos tu poesia y tu lucha. Sigue tu vida, no dejes que MS gane la batalla. "

Gail, it has been a journey, and my series reflected that.

Muff, the benefit is reciprocal. Your praise about my poetry really touches my heart.

Josè Antonio, qué descripción perfecta le has dado a MS. Sin embargo, el haber contraído esta desdichada enfermedad ha significado, no solo que me haya dedicado a la poesía, sino que también he llegado a conocer personas maravillosas como tú, quien nunca hubiese conocido.

Karen, a heartfelt thank you from one artist to another!

Anne, I'm glad I can do poetic kind of singing because, unfortunately, fate did not grace me with a good voice for the regular kind of singing.
